ABOUT

I began experimenting with the polygonal style in 2018 after I saw it used in a digital format and it has evolved into my own unique drawing style. I hand draw every aspect of my work and have found the addition of the angular lines to be quite cathartic. What sets my artwork apart isn’t just the artistic process—it’s also the intention behind it. I focus also on the message my artwork communicates and how it can inspire others. Everything I create is infused with my interests, passions and beliefs.

My Artistic Process

Initial Drawing

I draw an outline of my initial concept using a mechanical drafting pencil. Once I have made all adjustments I outline every line using a 005 Micron archival ink pen.
Design and color added

I add the polygonal design using a 003 Micron archival ink pen. I typically will do it section by section and add the base color as I go. I vary what medium I use to add color….I rotate between colored pencils, pan pastels, acrylic paint, copic markers and gouache.
Value Added

Once the entire piece has its base coloring I add shading and highlights to give the drawing depth. I will typically re-outline when I am done with a PN micron archival ink pen as the finishing touch.
Scan and add text

I create a scan of each original drawing and modify them using text for some prints, greeting cards, postcards, magnets, vinyl stickers and bookmarks.
